Mr. Timmel graduated with a Masters in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University in 2007 with a concentration in Children and Families. While at Southern Connecticut, Mr. Timmel completed internships at Waterbury Child Guidance Clinic, Hayestown Elementary School in Danbury, CT and Good Friend Mentoring Agency in Danbury, CT.  While in graduate school Mr. Timmel also worked as a social skills instructor at the Western Connection Program working with students with special needs on developing their social skills while they navigated a limited college setting.

 

After graduation, Mr. Timmel worked as a social worker at the Devereux Glenholme School in Washington, CT, a residential behavioral program for students with Asperger's, ADHD, OCD, Tourette, depression, anxiety and various learning differences. In 2013, Mr. Timmel received the Thomas Donovan Culture of Caring Award handed out annually to a direct care staff member who exemplifies a commitment to expertise and innovation.

Mr. Timmel treats a variety of mental health problems, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, OCD, and behavior problems in children and adolescents as well as adults. He holds a license in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) issued by the State of Connecticut.
